Ex- FBI Chief James Comey Enters Denial Plea to Accusations of Falsehoods Lawmakers
Ex- Federal Bureau of Investigation head James the former director has entered an innocent plea to giving untrue testimony to congressional representatives and hindering a lawmaking procedure.
Mr Comey's legal representative submitted the plea on his behalf in a federal court in Alexandria, Virginia on Wednesday.
The defense lawyer declared he would attempt to have the proceedings terminated for several causes including that his defendant, a detractor of former President Trump, was being targeted.
James Comey was indicted soon after the former president pressured his attorney general to proceed against him.

During the hearing on Wednesday, his attorney Mr Fitzgerald told the court they aimed to file various legal requests to dismiss the legal matter before a trial, claiming the legal action was retaliatory and that a government lawyer was wrongfully assigned to handle the legal matter.
Mr Comey's legal matter was initially handled by Erik Siebert, who resigned under pressure from the former president after his examination into an additional opponent - the New York official - was unable to file indictments.
